On 2008-03-25 Malawi issued a set 0f 6 stamps plus a mini sheet containing the 6 for the 50th Anniversary of the first satellite titled 'The Inventors of the Transport Vessels'. One stamp featured Soyuz and one featured Constantin Tsiolkowski. They also issued a set of 4 stamps and a minisheet containing the 4 stamps for the 50th Anniversary of NASA. They show Columbia, Apollo 11, Apollo-Soyuz and Mariner 9. In addition a set of 4 stamps and a minisheet containing the 4 stamps for the 40th Anniversary of the first manned flyby of the moon. The stamps show the Apollo 8 crew plus various scenes from the Apollo 8 mission.




Each stamp appeared in a sheetlet of 8 with extensive selvedge designs

China

- On 2008 April 1 China issued a sheetlet of 8 common stamps with tabs related to the launch of China's first lunar satellite
- On 2008 September 26 China issued a sheetlet of 8 common stamps with tabs related to the Shenzhou VII Mission.
- On 2008 September 9 China issued a booklet of minisheets honouring their 3 Space heroes. Each sheetlet contains one common stamp with a tab showing one of the 3 men. The number of minisheets per booklet is unknown but at least 4 different versions have been seen, indicating a possible issue of 6, 2 different designs for each of the 3 men.
